Yesterday last night from News Channel 5.

UPDATE: Fire officials say a kitchen fire was accidentally started in an apartment above Eddie V's on Broadway in downtown Nashville. They say no one was in the unit except for a dog when the fire broke out. Thankfully the sprinkler system activated and the firefighters got the dog out safely.

The NBJ article does not specify where in the 5th & Broadway complex the new store will be located, but states that Nike "plans to take over a sizable amount of space."

Nashville is finally reaching that tipping point of more big-name national retailers wanting to put physical storefronts downtown. It's nice since it pretty much bucks the overall retail trends. Apple setting up shop has without question made other retailers, such as Nike, take substantial notice.

Rooftop Bar and Supper Club (400 seats), two off-shoots of The Twelve Thirty Club, will be opening at 5th & Broadway on Sept. 9th and Sept 28th, respectively. They will employ around 160 people.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill has been announced as a coming tenant at 5th & Broadway. A $1.2 million permit has been issued for Alpha Construction to do the work.  This will not be part of the Food Hall.

Justin Timberlake's 12/30 Rooftop Bar at 5th & Broadway will open to the public on Sept. 28th.
