Noticed today that Levi's will be opening a standalone store next to the Nike store.  BTW downtown was packed today.  Thought I would pick a day when it would be less busy.  I guess those days are long gone now.

It’s a holiday and Metro schools are out this week. Probably many other school districts on fall break this week, too.

From William at NP....  Northwoods (Denver) has paid a record $715m for Fifth+Braod.  I am astonished by this, but kudos to the Spectrum Emery team and Oliver McMillan, whom Brookfield acquired in 2118,  who stayed with this one and had at least (reported) $425M in this. Rivian Automotive (electric vehicles) will operate a showroom at 5th + Broadway in the space formerly housing Travis Austin retailer.  No word on the opening date yet.

The Food Hall Co., which  operates and manages Fifth + Broadway’s Assembly Food Hall, is proposing a new roof over the skydeck. The company and its architect, Cooper Carry of Alexandria, Va., will go before the Metro Development and Housing Agency Design Review Committee on Nov. 7 to request that the rooftop space be given a more robust covering.

A fact sheet submitted to MDHA notes that a more sufficiently covered Assembly Food Hall Skydeck will yield an annual additional 76-plus events, $2.2 million in taxable bar revenue and 11,000 server work hours.

The information packet references seven to 12 shows cancelled per year due to weather concerns. Similarly, approximately $150,000 in revenue for the facility is lost annually, also because of inclement weather.

The existing Assembly Food Hall Skydeck offers a hard canopy, a soft canopy and an open-air space. As envisioned, the hard canopy would be supplemented by a similar structure, thus covering the bulk of the space currently covered by the soft canopy and open air.

Another major national law firm is expanding its presence in Nashville.

Polsinelli, which ranks among the country’s 100 largest law firms, announced it has moved into a new office at Fifth + Broadway, doubling the space of its previous office in the Truist building.

The firm will take over more than 37,000 square feet at 501 Commerce St., which includes the entire 12th floor and parts of the 13th floor. Polsinelli has committed to an 11-year lease.

Polsinelli has experienced rapid growth since debuting its Nashville office in 2015 with three attorneys. The firm now has 34 local attorneys, having added more than 20 in the past three years.
