If anyone needed evidence the rooftop bar shark has been jumped, this is your definitive proof.

What is that on the right, a street or an alleyway?  It looks way too wide to be an alley way, but I can't help but notice that there aren't sidewalks, so I've gotta hope it isn't a street!

It’s the little access road that runs between the HCA building and the parking lots adjacent to it, between it and I-40. So it’s looking south towards the Gulch (1212 and Icon being visible). I’m assuming that parking lot will eventually be developed, seems like too good a location to be a surface lot forever.

Its in the middle of this screenshot from Smeag’s wonderful development map, right where the “H” is in HCA.

Work on the foundation and structural frame is set to begin in the North Gulch area for Hampton Inn & Suites Capitol View.

A permit valued at roughly $9.4 million has been issued to allow for the construction. McMurry Construction Company Inc. will handle the job.

You know what I like about that?  It's not a flat parking lot behind a suburban-style office building on the edge of downtown.

Is the Hampton Inn going to be tying into the HCA garage for parking? If so, I feel like this one could really fly once it starts really rolling.

It will abut the HealthStream garage.
