After two weeks on the market, The Residences at Capitol View is at almost 20 percent capacity with the signing of 69 leases — well surpassing the 50-units-leased milestone. Some residents started moving in over the weekend.

That sounds impressive to me.  To what do they attribute the success?  Price point?  Location?  Growth in Nashville?  Of course, all of those could be the reason but do they get specific?

A lot sure can change in 58 years!  And it's probably more like 1960 as the Municipal Auditorium is visible. 

I really like the windows in the residential block of the last (foreground) photo, somewhat retro classic. 

Questions:

Crane in third photo... Cambria? 

Crane in second-to-last photo ... Virgin?

Crane in last photo... Hyatt Regency?

Not sure about third photo, could be Margarittaville or Hyatt House.

The second to last I think is 1200 Broadway, Endeavor I think

And yes the last is Hyatt Regency.

Well that could Virgin looking at it again.

Didn't even see other cranes. You guys have made it easier. Using distance and angles...  L-R: Joseph; LC; and M'ville (I think Smeag is right) 

I edited: Changed to Joseph from Drury. As I take another look, the left-most crane is too close to the Omni to be the Drury. Forgot the Joseph crane went up at the end of September.

My friend moved in to The Residences at Capitol View this past week. They offered two months free rent (first and last) and they have google fiber internet which is a selling point for him and the pool is one of the better ones in the city. 

He actually moves every year to a new apartment. Being single, 25, and works downtown, he is able to just pick up and find the new apartment complex that opened that year and is offering 2 months free rent. This is third year he has done this, basically its one weekend of work moving his stuff to save ~3,500.

Sounds like a property manager's worst nightmare (not that I blame him!). I had a hell of a time filling my rental this year due to all of the free rent promos around the city. Hopefully more of the supply is absorbed in the near future so things go back to a slightly more reasonable normal.

Another new tenant coming to Capitol View Phase II:  Fist Advantage Bank will relocate it's only Davidson County branch from West End Ave. to the new structure.  The location will feature a 1,300 sq. ft. retail presence facing Charlotte Ave., and a 14,000 sq. ft. banking operations center recessed inside.
