Also the NW Mutual project will not start until HCA is moved in.

 

 

The company has said it doesn't intend to open any of its buildings until after HCA's workers settle in (that move-in is expected by the end of 2016).

 

When I read that, I interpreted it to say that the NWM project would not be open (i.e. leased/occupied) until HCA has moved in, rather than not even beginning work until that time. It makes sense to me that they would want to have a substantial amount of the construction finished before then in order to minimize the impact on HCA's operations. Plus, the sooner they open Capital View, the sooner they can take advantage of HCA's workforce and their leisure spending. :)

Either way, I'm extremely excited about this development. I'm not going to be 'disappointed' about it.

Nearly every development has some certain aspect that I am not crazy about...and I'm sure this will be no different. With that said, I am very excited by the overall impact this development will have...it's just going to take years to fully see it realized.

The entrance corner is dull. The back building is strong.

Either way, it will be a solid development. I'm splitting hairs.

Work about to kick off across the street from SCRI... this is the 6-story building with loads of restaurant/retail on the street.

Is that still inside the giant fenced in area within 11th, George Davis, Jo Johnston, and Charlotte? Because I thought Capitol View was going to be on the other side of 11th, or is SCRI the same thing? There's also supposed to be an apartment building by Llewellyn somewhere around that area.
