The Nashville Chamber of Commerce is moving its HQ to the 10 story HealthStream Building at 500 11th Ave. North in Capitol View.  The unspecified square footage of office space will entail around 45 employees. They have been in the Baker Donelson Building at 211 Commerce St since it opened 20 years ago.

I explored this development a few days ago and think everyone should go take a look. It has a great feel to it, a nice urban, pedestrian-friendly ambiance with wide sidewalks, nice landscaping and a feeling of space.  There is free parking and lots of benches.

You may also be referring to the area between the hotel and office building and if so , no plans for construction are in the works as far as I know. I think that is part of the hotel footprint.

The area between the Hampton and the office building is slated for a 3-4 story building, purpose not defined, but likely retail and small office

Amazon is taking two floors of the office building bringing it to about 90% leased. That didn't take long (building opened in April). The corner spot of the office building is being marketed for an upscale restaurant, but no takers thus far

The 378 apartments in Capitol View Phase III are now 95% leased after 12 months on the market. Many of the retail slots are now accounted for as well, with the largest, the Publix Grocery, set to premier in a few months. The office towers are all virtually full. The Hampton Inn will be open within the next 4-6 months.  Th adjoining city park should be ready within weeks. By every measurable metric, Capitol View has been a home run.

If only something could now be done with Capitol TOWERS! (I realize there’s no connection to Capital View, but Capitol Towers apartment building has become one of the neglected stepchildren of Nashville’s residential renaissance.)

The Publix in Capitol View has set Wed. Oct. 2 as their opening date at 7 AM.

27,500 square feet and features a deli, a bakery, a meat/seafood department and a pharmacy department. The space will be accessible by vehicle from both Charlotte and 11th. It will also offer pedestrian access via an open-air paseo-like entrance fronting Charlotte. Free parking will be available in the building’s garage.

Also, the Publix will feature car-charging stations and elevators for customer convenience. The store will yield 120 new jobs, according to a release.

It unfortunately doesn’t roll. They Installed a foosball table out there as well as some other table games. If people can respect this stuff this area is going to be a fantastic hangout area for all.
