Finally some action on the old warehouse in Fort Norfolk.

Monument has done some great projects in Richmond.

This is the kind of thing I love seeing in Norfolk...converting old warehouses to housing. Hopefully they can keep some of the original fixtures to give it a little charm. I'd love to see that waterfront land along Front Street developed into a small mixed-use development. I worked at Channel 13, which is on that same street, and when they tore down the vacant warehouses, I figured they'd put something nice up by now. That was back in 2007...

I got a kick out of the file photo...the building is literally right down the street from the Pilot headquarters, but they used a pic from 10 years ago. :-P

Norfolk had put out a request for public art to be installed on the water tower on top of the building. I wonder if that will still be factored into the development.
