Four more days. :D It’s gonna have such a great art museum that people will completely forget about the Louvre and will want to visit Greenville instead of Paris.

Geez….aren’t we getting carried away just a tad?  Greenville over Paris?  :w00t:

House budget includes the $19 million for this project. Slated to pass by the end of the month with signature by the governor shortly after.

^^ $26 million from each State, city and county.  City and County have already committed their part.  Land is being donated.  I think there is a private fundraising involved too.

Wow. Either some of the people on this forum really dislike Greenville, or they are trying to be funny. Either way, it is getting tiresome.

Sorry it’s getting “tiresome”….thank the Lord we live in a country where we have opportunity & freedom to choose to read or not read something.

One more day. :D This project is gonna be so big that it’s gonna make Camperdown, County Square, ONE, and Riverplace combined look small.

Tell your husband, wife, kids, pets, uncle, aunt, parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, coworkers, attorney, doctor, mailman, the old man down the street, all of the airlines that refuse to come to GSP, some random person at the grocery store, the fish you caught in the lake, etc.

Gonna be rain at the ground level and snow at the top!

Now you’re speaking my language. The day has arrived. It’s a beautiful day for a rendering. Just look at all of the sunshine. :D

I cant find where today has been reported as the day to get renderings.  I did see where Beth Brotherton was asked recently and responded that there were no renderings.  Is this legit or an elaborate UP hoax meant to crush my dreams?

edit: no renderings at the drop in meeting. Confirmed. Oh well. Not sure what the point of the meeting was. :dontknow:

Hmmm…museum’s  square footage almost double footage of conference centers.

At one time it was supposed to be 60k for each museum, and total cost was over 100mm. Since then, construction costs have soared and the estimate went down? Bait and switch?:whistling:

No word on height yet. Still in the design phase. That construction cost and square footage I listed is ONLY for the museums and conference center not for the entire mixed use project which is slated to cost around $400 million to build total. Another article: https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/business/master-plan-says-downtown-greenville-conference-center-can-work-now-its-down-to-design/article_024b614c-fefa-11eb-9eba-a3a1ecaf9d95.html

Didn't realize there was a north and south option until now: https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/postandcourier.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/5/85/585acd64-fefc-11eb-8510-27518d73f544/611b1458df3c9.pdf.pdf I like the north option way more.
