Costs have probably doubled this year. Just too big of a project. A much smaller version could happen one of these days. 10-20 years?

Man, you guys are like two peas in a pod. According to you two Greenville is folding up like a cheap tent in the wind.  And I thought this was a growing place doing well. 🙄

When the time is right. They will tell you when. They'll also tell you if it's dead. Have they told you that? A lot goes into these projects. If it were easy the average person could do it.

We get the mushroom treatment! love it!

Honestly, this thing is a huge giveaway of public $$ to the two people who need it the least.

Because it is too expensive/big. May get a scaled back mini version one of these days!

It‘s a beautiful parking lot. :D Only in Greenville can this many downtown projects get delayed or cancelled. Never fails.

Gosh, we have such poor leadership in Greenville. Can’t do anything right. Greenville has accomplished nothing in the past 25 years. 🙄

Apparently this project is “fundamentally stalled.” At least that’s the word the newspaper is getting. Hopefully they’re wrong but no news on the project in 17 months isn’t a good sign.

Told you it was too big and would never happen. Sorry I was right. 😥

Well it's been nearly 4 years since this came out (hard to believe).

Gman, do you know how to contact Aughtry or Hughes? What about going straight to the source instead of the paper?

I’ll send an email to both and see if they respond back.

Make sure you tell them we are are desperate for this to happen and need a highrise out of this. We are waiting by the keyboard for some good news! :w00t:

Bad news would crush us and we would have to go in mourning... they can't let us down! :(
