yup, the city has an annual report with those figures....

There is also a revaluation about to be underway.

It's not that the city doesn't have money, it's that it lacks significant debt capacity right now compared to previous bond cycles. I don't know if the budget for the coming year is available yet... I doubt it though. I've just heard rumblings, so who knows what city council will actually vote on. You can rest assured that when its available it will be in the news and will be discussed here on UP.

^Frankly surprised it wasn't zero. Rural populists think this is political payback. But if and when the federal faucets run dry, metro areas will still have some means to creatively cobble some local funding.  The hinterlands will be completely out of luck.

Raleigh got $20 million for a grade separation project at a hideously complicated and busy railroad crossing on the NCRR. Not sure where that counts on the pie chart but it definitely benefits passenger rail in the state.

The TIGER program has been trumpified into the BUILD program which places more emphasis on rural areas (and it appears road projects).  NC's winners this year are not all awful however:

• GoTriangle got $20 million for a new multi-modal transit center for BRT in downtown Raleigh (it includes lots of structured parking as well as "traffic signal prioritization")
• Hickory got $17 million for some downtown road and bike/ped improvements
• NCDOT got $23 million for road bridge replacements in rural counties

Those rural bridge replacements are desperately needed. They've been consistently fixing them but there are still a lot that need replacing. There are hundreds that are decades past what is considered to be structurally sound.

Hopefully they push for further infrastructure investment in general like Trump said he wanted because then new funds would be available to potentially go towards transit.
