I like this statement in the article:

"We'll meet internally to discuss what our next steps will be," he said in a statement.

What that REALLY means: “let’s sit on it for two more years and let it rot, then we’ll come back and say it’s a hazard to the community and our workers safety.  We’ll get our parking lot sooner or later”.

If you want to see what can be done with a barrel roofed building, go to the Road Commission offices on Scribner. Their atrium is 1/2 of a barrel roofed building incorporated into the 1987 remodeling. The new roof is all skylight above the old trusses painted a soft yellow beige, very nice looking IMHO.
