Miami vs Detroit

^I can't speak for other regions, but in the South the negative perception of Detroit is that its a place of decay and heavy abandonment. Most here, associate DC and New Orleans as the murder capitols of the country. However, those places have other things going for them, that they heavily promote, that enhance their overall image in the national spotlight.

I believe Detroit has all of the potential in the world to re-create its image, in the eyes of the general public. Its got so much going for it that it takes for granted, like its rich history and beautiful architecture. The super bowl will be an excellent opportunity to showcase its quality of life. However, your going to need strong willed leaders with vision (ex. tearing down beautiful buildings in downtown for surface parkng is bad business) to lead the way.

Detroit is full of potential. I was walking around down there and it was unbelievable what people could do with this city if they gave it the time of day. I think once Hendrix gets elected for mayor things will begin to snowball and improve.

I think Hendrix is the favorite. As I recall he was ahead in the last poll. Im not sure when the election is, I know Kwame just started his campaign last week.
