Has something been announced for that project that I am forgetting?

Anyone know is 225 E. Stone Ave (Old Bo Stegall Salon) across from Universal Joint sold? They tore it down last week.

I don't understand why they permitted this project to funnel all traffic on and off of Stone. It seems like feeding off of Elizabeth would be the safer option.

I believe there was pushback from North Main regarding traffic, so this was the compromise.

I have no doubt that is the reason. But, it's 18 units. This decision was clearly made without any long term vision, IMO. Or, much sense of reality.

110 W. Stone Ave sold on 4/8/22 for $425k.  Parcel is .158 acres. Buyer owns the adjoining .327 acre parcel at 108 W. Stone Ave.

Planned is an art gallery and artist residency/airbnb with the intent of hosting international artists.

I’ll call it the Baskin-Robbins building, since it has the same colors as the mint chocolate chip ice cream cones that I’d get at McAlister Square.  But no, I don’t have anything to add.

My guess is a set of $1M+  2Br Condos with a multipurpose "bedroom" on the first floor, an elevator, and a sundeck.  Maybe 3BR?

I drove by that site today and there is a board with a rendering that is different than the one above. No mint green for one thing. I think some or all of the setbacks were gone too.

They started clearing the land this week. Also looked like quite a bit of activity today @ old Rite Aid rehab for the Prisma office.

Agreed -- it's much more upscale than the name and even the logo suggests. I've heard that the food is good, but the service is still being worked out.
