Actually it's quite common now for high rises to have "clear" glass. Some of the windows of the Westin look to be tinted to give it the X pattern that you see in the rendering. I'm still surprised that they would go with clear glass since this is a hotel. It'll be interesting to see how it looks being able to see all the drapes.

You can also tell that some of the panes have more distinct mullions to help with the X pattern.

^^Why does the glass going into the windows look like clear glass with no tint?  Don't all skyscrapers place tinted glass (blue, green, sliver, etc) in their windows?

It looks like there will be a mix of glass panel cladding to present an architectural detail on the exterior curtail wall. Better than the monotonous blank glass walls we see on other buildings.

I don't think that was their priority.

Correct. Most hotels are utilitarian and not architecturally significant. This was designed to be built in the shortest amount of time possible like Skyhouse and so many others.

Get them out of the ground and finished as fast as possible to get occupancy to pay bills. It's that simple. Head and beds as its called in the hotel business.

They like to get 30 stories poured in 30 weeks and the glass curtain wall done after a year. 6 months later the interior is done and its open. In this case at 27 stories this place will be open in less than a year.

18 months construction time.
