JW Marriott - 385' - 34 Floors

Those "stanchions" at 16-18' seem like they may only be for one of the levels.  If the renders are correct, the crown will go even higher than that...right?  Let's assume the balcony / restaurant floor is double height...so nearly 20' tall.  In the renders, it appears the crown is at least twice that tall...so another 40'.

Great pics.

On the last image, I still don't see how the Curio/Embassy Suites will have enough width to fit to the right of The Cambria? Does anyone have an update on that project? it's one of my favorites in the city right now.

The site has been pretty dormant the last few months. Still being used for parking by curio construction workers. Like others have said I’m sure they’re just waiting for all the construction around there to die down a little.

I was wondering the same thing. The stanchions look really short compared to what the rendering shows. Hopefully there is at least another level.

Another angle, from this morning (look closely and you can see the big yellow claw installing one of the windows!):

And during a nice sunset last Friday:

Gorgeous!!! I also like the facade of the Cambria and how the sun changes the colors of it. The brick is a nice break from all the glass in the area.

I was too. Im beginning to think this is as high as they will go. If the crown was going to be three stories tall (as it appears in the renderings) the stanchions would be more robust, or at least concrete, wouldn't they? The stanchions on the Bridgestone are much larger than these. Of course, the building IS still under construction and I always hate to jump-the-gun with making assumptions.

I believe they will go higher. If nothing else, the signage would be almost that high.  The "JW Marriott" would look really crammed with less than 20' of space, I think they would need to have an offset from the top floor with an equal amount above it. In my opinion it will be somewhere between 30' - 40' higher than the large floor.

Keep in mind that Bridgestone has "fins" as opposed to a solid "ring" on the JW. The basic physics of a ring mean that it will require less structural support than a freestanding fin.

I also am confident we will see it go higher, with another layer being added on top of what is already there.
