Any thoughts on the lighting at night for this? The renderings don't seem to give away much outside of the logo and maybe some spotlights at the top

I sure hope they have some incredible lighting.  As subdued as downtown's lighting has been, it makes me wonder if the city has some kind of restrictions on lighting?

Honestly, I'm disappointed the glass is not rounded. Flat glass in a round building. Cost must be too much. Still, great looking project, thus far

I actually rather like the pixelated look it gives to reflections because of that flat glass.

I like the pixelated look as well. Adds something unique to the facade. Gives a kind of movement to the building with the reflections.

With the bright character of the glass they've chosen, it looks like a faceted diamond.  I love it.

And from certain angles, it appears multi-colored and almost frosted, which is gorgeous.  Definitely a new look for the city.

i'm the biggest "height or die" person out there, but a little more height on this one (even though it seems we're not really sure where it's going to end up) would just be lovely!

I'm with you on this, but regardless it will be the best looking highrise in the skyline. It really won't even be close, imo.

Am I the only one that has noticed that it is shaped like a guitar body along 8th?  i noticed it while driving a few months ago. but now with the glass it is even more obvious.

I've noticed as well from pics that were taken from the Westin. You can really see it from above. Maybe the shape of the JW is supposed to resemble the shaft of a boot lol. I see a deodorant stick or a funnel from an old ocean liner.

^It's still too short. This should've been a minimum of 50 floors to make it even more striking.

I agree, but I've given up for now on the height thing because it's beating a dead horse at this point. This will still be the most beautiful high rise in the city regardless.

Best looking highrise in the city hands down.  NOW, if it was about 20 floors taller, I'd be REALLY happy, but I digress.
