Ah dammit, now it’s all I see when I look at it. I can’t unsee this haha. 

This building reminds me of the feeling when I watch a fantastic movie and the ending just.....doesn’t....do it justice. The shorter top and the weird letters don’t ruin it - it’s still beautiful - but it just could have been so much more perfect.

Clearly  Marriott has very recently refreshed and updated the logo to emphasize the JW.  

Looks very modern and the sign fits the new Nashville building very well.

The LA JW Looks incredible.

The old lettering looks better. The newest design on our JW looks odd.  Some things should just be left alone.

Yeah...they had to take that perfect design we all loved and mess it up somehow!  Wouldn't be Nashville if they didn't find a way to pull the rug out from under us a little.

That is one of my favorite skyscrapers. There is also a Ritz Carlton in the same building that takes up the higher floors in the building.

The letters were fully placed on one side of the building  and illuminated last night

I know this is the pretentious designer in me coming out, but unless they're changing the chain's logo, I just don't see any logic behind this. Will the average joe notice? Of course not. But it makes no sense.

I'm more concerned that Grand Rapids, IA had a JW Marriott before Nashville...

Agreed, but don't sleep on GR!  Metro over a million, craft beer capital of the world, half an hour from the Lake Michigan shore and wine country... it is a phenomenal little metropolis, and it's only getting better!

Having a hard time finding the right shade of lipstick to match the MCC's burnt orange.  Gotta make sure those colors don't clash.
