JW has that spot next to them (currently a walking area) that would have held a sister tower.  I wonder what their trigger is to start that project.

Did they excavate the whole site when they built the hotel? I don't know how much sway the hotel would have, but I'd not be eager for a 2-3 year construction project right next to the fancy hotel I owned. I could see the site be a site for housing of some kind (high rise condos/apartments), perhaps in partnership with the hotel..

The newly renovated rooftop Pool Deck features 8 private cabanas, chaise lounges, canopy-covered day beds, and Cabana Club Bar and Grill.

Bourbon Steak on the top floor of JW Marriott is rated #4 out of 25 in "2023 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Restaurants for Fine Dining" in the U.S. by TripAdvisor.

A new restaurant, tentatively named 888, will be built out of the empty 5,203 sq. ft. space at 125 8th Ave. South (the corner of 8th Ave. South and Clark Place) in the JW Marriott building.  no word on who the restauranteur is.  Architect is Smallwood, with interior design by Commune Design. Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. will handle the build out of the section that has remained empty since JW Marriott opened 5 years ago.

JW Marriott Nashville is undergoing a trains-formation. Tickets are on sale now for the hotel’s holiday pop-up experience, JW Starlight.

The immersive train ride in the lobby takes guests on a 60-minute expedition across various landscapes, where they will experience weather events and “environmental surprises.”

The activation uses spatial audio, lighting displays, 3D animation software, and 4K HD panels to create a window into picturesque winter scenes daily beginning Saturday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Jan. 7.

Tickets for the 21+ installation cost $30-$40 and include complimentary valet. Themed beverages and light snacks will be available for purchase upon boarding.
