The rendering for the Virgin would be nice. It would answer a lot of questions.

Hopefully with some disruptive architectural design. Nashville needs someone willing to shake things up a bit and knock us out of our "glass box" addiction.

A tease.

6 Things Virgin Hotels Want You To Know About Them

1. Virgin Hotels Will Woo Women

"We are building a product experience sensitive to how women travel," Leal said. Indeed, 60 percent of the Virgin Hotels team is women and they've been giving their input on the room experience from a female business traveler perspective, highlighting more drawers and closet space and a dedicated space to apply make-up. But Leal said Virgin will still be build something that both sexes like and that "works for both sides."

2. Virgin Hotels Are Gonna Have Cool Hook-Ups

"We are working with some cool partners to bring our guests some exceptional experiences," Leal said, mentioning that Virgin Hotels' loyalty program would be linked up with existing loyalty programs at Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia. Leal also said the in-room amenities will be supplied by "an up and coming company that is environmentally responsible and has humane approach to beauty products."

3. Virgin Hotels Have a Thing for The Locals

"The Virgin brand’s legacy of hospitality stretches across the world but overall, they do an exceptional job of nurturing the local spirit and we will do the same," Leal said. While the portfolio of Virgin Hotels will vary between adaptive re-use and new build hotels, Leal said Virgin wants the hotels to feel "as if they've been there all along." The interior design and aesthetics of each hotel will feature "locally loved" touches yet won't feel so new and modern. "We're striving for warm, comfortable and approachable," Leal said. Additionally, the hotel plans to host events for locals including local entrepreneurs, a passion of Sir Richard Branson.

4. Virgin Hotels Wanna Rock

In case you forgot (we nearly did!), The Virgin Group started out as Virgin Records before moving into the world of aviation and hotels. Now, Virgin Hotels will bring that musical legacy full circle. "Music is in the DNA of the brand and you’re going to feel it through our properties," Leal said. Elaborating further, he said that Virgin Hotels will have special spaces for live music.

5. Virgin Hotels Will Stay Up All Night, Just Talking

"Virgin is a chatty brand and Virgin Hotels will want to stay in touch with our guests before they even get there," Leal said with Virgin Hotel staffers asking guests their room and stay preferences and executing those requests upon guest arrival. But that's not all. Leal said aside from free WiFi, Virgin Hotels will have " a fantastic app to really allow the cusomter to interact with our team and the property when they want to."

6. Virgin Hotels Are All About Choices

"Our guests will have lots of choices and our intent is to give them as many options as we can without them leaving the property," Leal said. Enough said.

The Virgin Chicago is due to open this fall. Hopefully, this summer we'll have even more info on what to expect when you sleep with a Virgin. In the meantime, check out this InfoGraphic about the Virgin Chicago.
