zalo 47 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 The Western Film Fair is coming back to Winston-Salem in July, bring with it two co-stars from “Matlock,” one of the Hardy Boys, Timmy from “Lassie,” and other stars of classic TV shows. The 37th annual Western Film Fair will run July 9 to 12 at the Hawthorne Inn & Conference Center in downtown Winston-Salem. The festival includes screenings of classic movies, a dealer’s room with memorabilia, DVDs, books and other items for movie and TV buffs, and celebrities signing autographs and chatting with fans. The celebrities scheduled for this year’s show will include: • Parker Stevenson, who played young sleuth Frank Hardy in the 1970s “Hardy Boys Mysteries” TV series. • Nancy Stafford and Linda Purl, both of whom co-starred on Andy Griffith’s popular legal drama “Matlock.” • Jon Provost, who played Timmy, the accident-prone kid who kept being rescued by his dog in the classic TV series “Lassie.” Provost also appeared in the dog-friendly film “Susie’s Hope” that was filmed in Winston-Salem in 2012. • Joyce DeWitt, who played Janet in the 1977-84 sitcom “Three’s Company.” • Piper Laurie, who is known for such films as “Carrie” and “The Hustler,” as well as the TV series “Twin Peaks.” • Karen Sharpe, one of the stars of the 1959-60 Western “Johnny Ringo.” • Ed Nelson, one of the stars of “Peyton Place.” • Jimmy Hunt, who appeared in both the classic 1953 sci-fi film “Invaders From Mars” and the 1986 remake. • Eli Barsi, a singer-songwriter known for her Americana music style. • Jenn Gotzon, who has appeared in such movies as “The Hulk,” “Frost/Nixon” and “God’s Country.” Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
