Seems like part of the church parking lot could be logical. If you look at the rendering the tree lined street could be the part of the parking lot which would add an entrance from Broad Street.

Well, this definitely appears to be moving forward seeing how they already have the general contractor lined up: Brasfield and Gorrie

This is taking up a large chunk of surface parking. I'm not crazy about the connection to the existing building, but that could change. Pretty good development overall!

The "tower" portion appears to be a rather plainly designed box, but overall I love the idea of replacing a large parking lot with multiple floors of office space and a parking garage. This project will significantly impact the visible density in that part of the CBD.

They modified the plan to separate the building and garage. This loses a floor in building height and adds height to the garage. This will more visually pact your experience on the bridge. I think I am in favor of the change. Overall the building is pretty bland, but it does it's job as a background building and a density builder.

Well the office building for EP and the garage will happen in association with one another. The remainder of the site will have to be reworked as a byproduct of the construction. However, we know nothing more of future plan outside of the owner looking to subdivide the large site.

Well, construction should start in next 45-60 days. Just got the internal announcement yesterday that things are moving forward. Guess they need to test for bedrock, etc. But you'll start seeing some action going on shortly.

 

Cannot wait! Going to be a beautiful building with some cool stuff in and around it.

Yeah I saw that. But what happened? They went from 8, to 7, to 5. Now don't get me wrong, I do like it. Was just wondering. But I figuring since 2 floors are initially set to be used. 7 or even 8 would've been overkill. So never mind.

It seems that it will be 5 + the rooftop venue. The first rendering is probably throwing us off because of the grade change on the site, but I'm not sure.

Maybe. I'm sure we'll get some clarification soon. It's not bad, I like the glass bridge connecting the buildings and the way the building looks. Wish it was a little taller, but this is all they need; I understand that. At least it adds nice density and a decent view from Church St.

Yup, only 5 story's. I think originally was going to be taller but nixed down to current size. Our company will be on 2 floors along with our current building (one connected via the sky bridge). The historical building that we use will be turned over I'm assuming for whoever wants it.

Nice to see, but should the words/phrases "change the skyline" and "signature building" be used for any 5 story building? I don't think so.
