orulz 470 Report post Posted September 2, 2014 Lee Walker Heights, a 96-unit public housing project, is being considered for redevelopment. LWH sits on top of a hill between the south slope and the hospital district. It's 50-100 feet higher than the ground around it and accessed by only a single road. The topography both isolates the LWH complex and also prevents better connectivity between the two adjoining neighborhoods. The plan calls for maintaining the number of public housing units, adding some affordable/income-restricted units, and some market rate units, possibly totaling up to 300 total.
