Indeed. I was driving to NC from DC the other week and was surprised that I could see the Durham skyline moving south from Butner along I-85. It was about 11-14 miles north of downtown Durham.

Triangle photos of the day from the Bull City the city of Medicine Durham.  The transformation of this downtown is nothing short of amazing.

Not a photo just a comment all 3 major universities in the Triangle are in the Sweet 16 NC State, UNC, Duke that is pretty impressive if you ask me.

Meanwhile, the Tobacco Road rival who long ago abandoned the Triangle did not make the tournament and just lost in the second round of the consolation tourn…..I mean, NIT.

I am feeling 1983 vibes for NC State there were 3 Triangle teams in the Sweet 16 now just one in the Final Four NC State!

Up in Raleigh walking the tour route of an upcoming tour of Charlotte people and anyone who wants to join in from the Triangle of downtown Raleigh.  It will be June 15 not sure the starting time yet but will start at Union Station and cover all the major parts of downtown Raleigh.  Charlotte Urbanists, people from Charlotte UP will be coming up and everyone is invited.  It will be about 3 hours or so with various rest stops I have already scouted.
