I would love for them to build low rise retail and outdoor space to take up that entire plot, ugh. If only.

It would be great if they just copy and pasted Latta Arcade and put 2 floor apartments above it.

The more I look at it, the more I like the architecture of this building. Y'all probably know I'm not usually a big fan of contemporary/modern stuff - but I have to applaud this developer for doing something different than the boxy buildings across RBP.

 

I also think the blue color is fine. I think the tendency to use bright/primary colors everywhere is a fad and will look dated in 10 years.

Woah, They are already building a pretty big hole at Ascent. They aren't joking around. I think I remember hearing this would have two levels of subterranean parking as well as the 10 floors of above ground parking.

I just peeked on the 300 South Tryon web cam, and you're right... They are tearing up that parking lot and digging down. They went from stuck in neutral to 5th gear rather quickly on this one.
