Quite the opposite, most can't believe how fast it is flying up. The first 11 floors (parking deck) are going to take a long time as it is much more involved than just pouring apartment floors. Once the garage is done it will shoot up.

3rd ward is looking so beautiful especially with Romares greenery maturing and fluffing out.

 

It's so shocking how fast the look and feel has changed of 3rd ward. 3rd ward was always so embarrassing. Such a black eye. Now it's turning out to be quite the showcase. And the same thing is happening to Stonewall

 

1st ward looks 5000x better with the 1st ward park and Levine Apartments will make it look better also. It used to be aerial images of Charlotte would be cringe worthy. Now I love the aerial photos

That model makes our city look very spread out. Is really that spread out?

How tall is this going to be? I'm trying to figure out why the one across the street (next to Latta) needs a (100'?) huge hole in the ground before going vertical, while this they seem to have more or less started at ground level. 

340' tall. And 300 s Tryon needed a huge whole because they went down with the parking deck. This one has 11 floors of parking deck then the apartments. No need to go down much.

Simple. Office Towers have more people per usable square foot. You gotta figure there is going to be like 2 people max per 1000 sq. feet in Ascent. Where as there will probably be 30 people working in every 1000 sq feet at 300 South Tryon. Thats how many more cars you need to find space for. There will be 4 floors of underground parking spanning the entire block for 300 South Tryon. Where as there will be 10 floors of parking spanning 1/8th of the block for Ascent. us
