Me too.

Is the above picture a rendering of what is planned, or has the transformation already taken place?

Also, what will that look like in a couple of years after it gets worn and dirty?

They're going to have to have it cleaned every few months or so.

Hahaha, I honestly can't tell if you're being facetious or not. That was a 10-min Photoshop hack job.

Also, I checked - Mondrian's work entered the public domain in 2015, so technically they could do that if they wanted to...

No, I thought that with the name change they were seriously going to go with that color scheme, which I've been seeing around here and there on different things for awhile now.

Thinking about it now, I doubt the city zoning dept or DDB or whoever is in charge of what colors are allowed on downtown buildings, would ever allow that.

Last time I had to deal with them, bright colors like that yellow were strictly verboten.

The Photoshop was convincing, though.

Not that I expect anyone to follow through with my idea, lol, but it strikes me as odd that the color restrictions would count on an art panel in the same way as they would as an actual building color.

Well, back in the 90's, they would not even allow bright colors on awnings.

There was a list of approved colors like burgundy, teal, etc.

Muted colors.

I think the only exceptions were if a company's logo had bright colors in it, they would allow it, but it couldn't be over a certain size.

Did the Trophy Room open today in Modera? There was a long queue along Rosalind early this morning. Looks like folks were camping out for something (and I doubt for the DXG). Haven't see any signage over there, so not sure.

Noticed that yesterday too. They have to be doing some sort of releases.

They started lining up out there last Saturday at 5PM when I noticed roughly 100 folks in line with 3 police escorts keeping the peace. It was the soft opening- see below

I assumed it would be fancier. Not sure why, I know nothing about sneaker stores and the vibes they want but figured there would be more to it.

Video was actually interesting. We'll see how things go with the french bakery on release days. That guy said people were leaving piss bottles in his plants and stuff.

piss bottles.  LOL.  That's b/c they didn't want to leave the line.

if you ask me, the popularity of this store could be a huge thing for downtown.  It is a magnet.  Now, they need to expand the types of stores that could benefit from the spillover business.
