More signage is up today (photo below via AC Hotel FB page).  I've seen online that booking dates are now starting on December 17, so certainly later than planned.  Though delays seem to be a regular occurrence with new hotel construction.

This sign is at the southeast corner of the property?  Have other signs been placed elsewhere?

Sorry to ask but I've been out of town and unable to check out the hotel's progress for myself.

@roads-scholar, it's just to the left of the driveway to the parking lot, and I'm pretty sure it's the only monument sign.  There are several very nice silver signs on the building itself (see the background of that photo or below).  And plans show a large "AC Hotel Spartanburg" sign on the front canopy (probably similar to this one in Asheville), but that hasn't been installed yet.

As a general note, I've noticed that room rates are now less expensive than they were initially.  Rates mostly look like $136-175 (previously they were $151-185).  The first month after opening is even cheaper: $112-124!  (via AC Hotel Spartanburg website)

The AC Hotel opens today! Guests can check in at 3 pm and the AC Lounge opens to the public at 5 pm.  Such a fantastic addition to downtown.  I can't wait to see the impact it has on foot traffic, particularly during big events (college graduations, Panthers training camp, etc).

However, Level 10 (top floor restaurant) is not done yet.  It's supposed to be open by late January.

Here are some recent photos I've taken:

I drove into town Monday evening from the westside and the downtown skyline from St. John Street above Wakefield was impressive!   Each window in the Montgomery Building was backlit, the first time I can remember seeing that.  QS-1, as usual, was  illuminated.  The AC Marriott's spotlights were lit.  And, it appeared that every light in every apartment of Church Street Lofts was turned on.

And the Denny’s Tower has rooms with the lights turned on in the shape of a Christmas tree!
