The usual... a parking garage as part of "Phase I" :ermm:. Phase II will be the mixed use portion attached to the other side of the garage.

come again?  I'm confused.  we've got the building at the corner of Gore & Orange.  It has integrated parking, residential, and the retail.  to the west of it along Gore is the 4-5 story residential portion which appears to be connected to the first building via skywalk- maybe for garage access?

so is there construction to the west of the 4-5 story building along Gore?  Are we talking about that photo above with the red construction wall?

Pretty cool if not odd, that we have two hospital complexes with their own skylines that bookend downtown one on the north and one on the south.

I would expect another patient tower (and another big garage) on the OH property within the next 3-5 years.  The master plan for Florida Hospital's main campus is even more ambitious than that

Correct, he was asking about the Western half of the property which is still owned by OH and Novel was built on the Eastern half. OH should've sold off the entire property instead of continuing to maintain off-site satellite depts when there's plenty of room on the main campus to add more density. IMO, I doubt OH will do anything significant with the main campus within 3-5 years since they seem more focused on building the new Lake Mary campus.

I saw that getting off the 408 the other day. Is it for the Westminster Expansion?

I saw that as well off of 408 just as you pass I-4 a few weeks back.  It looks like that's what it's for based on it's proximity to Westminster.

As much as I like this project (and I really like it) especially the exterior finish, which is pretty much why I like it, I must say that I'd like it even more if the architecture looked a little more traditional.

Even though the exterior is finished in that nice looking brick, the building lines and the windows etc, suggest more of a modern look than I would ideally like to have seen.

I'd love to see someone do a project on this size and scale that faithfully and accurately replicates early 20th century design. Brick exterior, arched windows, granite trim, ornate cornice etc.

A large scale Dickson Ives type thing.

Just emphasizing the power lines not being buried that's all, I get it lol.

For a brand-new development so large, that really does border on the absurd (if the lines go down, imagine how many lose power in one fell swoop).

Our once admirable mayor who’s been dialing it in lately needs to work with OUC on this.
