Novel Lucerne [Under Construction]

Recommended Posts

Now that would be fairly impressive for names sake.   It makes sense as SoDo doesn't have any "better burger"'places - closest is a very depressing Five Guys.

Would be great to see lunch time foot traffic develop between the CNL center and this project to activate the lake.

Downtown Orlando area to get Earth Fare grocery

No timeline, but:

  • "The store will anchor Crescent Communities newest Central Florida project, Crescent Lucerne. As planned, the six-story project will include shops and 375 apartments on 4.6 acres at Orange Avenue and Gore Street."
  • "The store will lease 24,000 square feet..."
  • "In addition to the grocery and apartments, Crescent Lucerne is expected to have about 7,000 square feet of retail. Foundry Commercial will manage retail leasing. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor. The architect is The Preston Partnership."

Just curious, what is wrong with the Five Guys? I do remember the tables were not cleaned when I went there. Food was great though.

I just randomly ended up there last week and it was depressing.   Pretty empty, low energy staff, etc.. it was clean enough.

This project will be transformative for that corner, I think. Hope it spurs development down there. Lots of opportunity along Orange south of 408.

Understatement.

This will be massive for anything down there, not just the corner.  Really brings a place for SODO and Delaney Park to anchor to.  Great, great news, and a good development.  I really like the fact that it is very mixed use and pedestrian friendly.  That area really needs it, and I like it a lot as opposed to just the height mongering as usual.  We need more infill like this that blends and fits the walkable environment!

I'll bet you Lucerne Towers (aka the tower of terror) get's imploded once this project is done.

There is a bulldozer on the site and notice went out to the residence of Lucerne Towers that construction was starting soon.

And the Tower of Terror Looms in the back ground knowing it's meeting it's maker.

In all seriousness. Lucerne Towers has become an unkempt nuisance property owned by a slum lord.
