Museum Tower - 31 story Childress Klein Apartments

my office in Manhattan looks into a residence inn, me and my staff have seen some stuff over the years...

there seems to be a lot of good questions that can be asked here - I think the key question is: where is the nearest Residence Inn to that Residence Inn and, due to the proximity, do they not regret making themselves a JW instead? :)

Does anyone know if there will be any screening built for the apartment tower's view of the exisitng Mint Museum roof and all utlitities located on it? I was looking at the progress today from my office and noticed those first floor apartement units basically look directly out onto the Mint rooftop.  I'd hate to be staring down at large heating and air condenser fans spinning all day.

Given what people will be paying to live there, you'd think so. I'm not sure how easy that kinda stuff is to cover though

Having a horrible view ain't too bad... Somewhere behind those AC Units and watertowers is the rest of the city.

I have never been as excited about a project as I am this one. Love how truly urban it will make Charlotte look from so many directions. S.Tryon is just amazing and something that the Carolinas can truly brag about now, and more so going forward.

I completely agree. The density surrounding this tower is a sight to behold and it will only get better with Tryon Place and the Observer lot.

Raleigh, Durham, Asheville and Wilmington will never, ever brag about Charlotte.

Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Spartanburg will never, ever brag about Charlotte.

Not to mention Rockingham County (Sen. Berger), Matthews (Sen. Rucho), Onslow County (Sen. Harry Brown) and Rutherford County (Rep. Mike Hager.)

In fact, I don't think I've ever heard a single soul in North Carolina brag about Charlotte unless they were from Charlotte (like me.)

But I'm excited about this project, too. :D

I have heard people from all over the place brag about Charlotte and its skyline and activities. I feel pretty sure that the aforementioned cities are proud that Charlotte is part of their state whether someone actually hears people bragging or not. Maybe they just don't make it a point to go to him and brag.  We are doing wonderfully and we should brag like other people from around the world.
