Museum Tower - 31 story Childress Klein Apartments

Man I wish that, since they're going to be carrying the beige up from the Mint Museum anyway, they'd at least carry the geometric shape up those divider walls as well.  Would make the building so much more interesting.  That was one reason I liked the last design better; it wasn't just another generic residential tower.

Just now, grodney said:

If you call the first floor they added to the roof "1", they are currently building the floor of "27".

so 5 more floors to go. (The title of this thread needs to be changed to 32 floors above the mint museum)

I realized I used "floor" in two different ways.  I should have said "If you call the first level they added to the roof "1", they are currently building the bottom of level "27".  I don't know if that changes the number.

Nope...still 5 more.. 32 is the resident amenity level and the roof design thing goes up another 1.5 floors or so

Got word this will officially be called Museum Tower. I for one am really glad they went with this simple and descriptive name. Much better than whatever lame 1 word they'd come up with. (Calling a Mod) the thread could use a name change.

Also, it will top out by the end of the month.

"THE EDGE at the Mint"
"DREXLEY at the Mint"

"PRESCOTT FLATS at the the Mint"

Apartments have the funniest names in history. It's just a fact.

Is that a possibility or just a desire on your part?

Childress Klein said this will NOT go to Condos. There was some reason though, some sort of 7 year rule for conversions. The apartment had to be 7 years old before it could be converted, because of tax evaluations, something like that. By then... things aren't up to date anymore and would have to be gut reno'd. It was a complicated reason, I don't remember, probably need to stop partying so hard all the time. Maybe it was a financing issue??? I'm cloudy on the reasoning, I'll figure out who I spoke to about this and follow up with them.

(least coherent thing ever)
