Another recall?

Eric Mays who is leading the recall of Mayor Don Williamson has unofficially gotten enough signatures to force a recall vote. While I disagree with a lot of the things he does and says, I'm not sure we need another recall.

Here's the article

Althought the Mayor bickers with the Council he has done so much, by paving about 30 miles of streets, cleaning up Flint neighborhood out of his own money, to supporting development downtown. Eric Mays is doing this recall because Williamson did not give Mays a job in his administration, and because the mayor wants to attract a casino in Mt Morris twp which will help Flint with jobs and maybe the city could even annez the land where the casino sits.

The council except for a few members have countinued to argue, exchange names and act like babies with the Mayor. They even threatened to not approve his budget if he didn't fix that sugar male subdivision which was Stanley and most of the current council members fault. I think this recall is bull and it will not go through.

Keep in mind it's the same guy that started the recall against Woodrow Stanley. I think he's turned this into some kind of hobby.

I'll admit that our last two mayors have done some extreme, unforseen things that most cities would never witness twice in a row. The difference is that Williamson seems to be improving, while Stanley's situation quickly got worse in his last term.

I remember hearing about him working for Hurley a while ago. It was even in the paper. I never knew it was illegal until now. And if so, why does he even still hold this position?? I just don't get this city.

It's up to the prosecutor, who knows, but won't take action, whhich would mean the forfeture of his office too.
