MTV is looking for young people to participate in a film shoot in Winston-Salem this afternoon.

The shoot is for a documentary by journalist and filmmaker Jose Antonio Vargas (“Documented”), who will be moderating a conversation about race relations and “what it means to be young and white in America today,” according to a statement from the production team. The documentary will look at why young white Americans often feel uncomfortable about discussions involving race. Producers are looking for a diverse group of young people, ranging in age from 18 to 25, who want to “Share their views, or simply come to listen.”

The event will be held at 4:45 p.m. today (Friday) at the Community Arts Café Underground Theater, 411 West Fourth St. Vargas has also visited Phoenix, Ariz., Bellingham, Wash., and Pine Ridge, S.D. for the special, and will be visiting another city to be determined.

The hour-long special will air on MTV this spring.
