I'm thinking the garage panels would have looked better if they were silver and black. At least it would have looked more cohesive with the mullions.

Just imagine a time when it is flanked on either side by something taller and more visually appealing... At that point, you won't even notice the weird garage cladding.

The glass up top and the rest of the building really isn't all that bad.

From the Nashville Post:

Bank of America Corp. and sister businesses Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust will lease about 65,000 square feet on the top floor of the soon-to-open 25-story 222 2nd building in SoBro, Nashville Business Journal reports.

About 600 people work in Nashville for the three entities, with targeted move-in date for the first half of 2018, NBJ reports, citing Tyson Moore, Nashville market president for BofA and the market executive for Merrill Lynch.

Houston-based Hines and C.B. Ragland Co. of Nashville co-developed 222, which also will offer retail and structured parking.

About 60 percent of the building's 361,000 square feet are now leased, according to the business publication.

I think only about 60 % right now, but CBRE is in talks about moving to that location, but not official yet.

The latest NBJ articles quote a 60% lease rate with B of America. Add CBRE and they would take one floor, which would be 26K sq. ft.

I would bet BOA would want (negotiate) naming rights since they are taking the top floors. The view from Ascend would be an advantage for naming rights. The building will likely lease up as there really isn't another building to compete for new, class a, space in the "hot" part of downtown. Everything else is housing or hotels.

I want to know the retail/food they will be getting on the ground floor. Directly across from Ascend will be a big draw.

Think signature restaurant for the food piece.  It's a sizable portion of the GF but there is still room for multi-story "flagship" retail on the corner towards Broadway, IIRC.
