I imagine the exterior of this is starting to wrap up by now?  I wonder when they plan to open for business.

The exterior is getting very close. I'd say sometime late winter or spring

The parking deck for the Hampton Inn really coming along now.

Looking more and more complete. Definitely one of the slowest hotel projects for its size the city has seen. Foundation work began September 2018! Not sure why downtown construction projects are slower than the rest of the city.

Progress on the Hampton Inn. I can’t figure out the street-level spaces facing Greene Street. There seems to be a space that is partially below grade (where the tan brick is below the blue - can’t see it well in this picture). Is this for retail? It looks like it would make for a cool cellar-style bar or restaurant.

I think maybe some sort of restaurant. And I think a pool will be in place as well next to it. But the partially sub level actually makes it a 7 story hotel.

Signage has been installed but construction is very slow.

Probably slowing it down so the hotel market can recover more but Hampton Inn is a strong brand (and my go to brand usually)

Ridiculously slow but more signage and some black awnings have been installed. Not a lot of exterior changes as I look at my posts from April 2020, almost a year ago. Construction started in September 2018!

What's with the AC units along the sidewalk? Seems real chintzy (as does the fence they slapped together).

Not sure. Typically they put them on the top of buildings so that they are not visible. I definitely would have chosen different style fencing if the AC units are going to be put there. Also I don't know why they were placed on the street side. If there were enough room, I'm sure they would have chosen shrubbery over fencing.
