From the Nashville Post:

The team behind Nashville Yards, which is being eyed to transform the central business district campus long home to LifeWay Christian Resources, will request a final plat approval for three parcels fronting Church Street within the 900 block.

Southwest Value Partners owns the 15-acre site, having paid $125 million for it in November 2015.

The first project on the massive site will be a Hyatt Regency hotel, to sit on the northwest corner of 10^th Avenue and Broadway.

SVP has enlisted Nashville-based Ragan-Smith Associates for land-planning efforts, with the company to go before the Metro Planning Commission on Thursday, June 8, to request the plat approval for the three properties.

SVP created Uptown Property Holdings for what is expected to be a multi-year multi-building effort.

Nice rendering. Good density. Still hard to tell how tall the Hyatt will be. I hope that silver glass building at the corner of 8th and Church is more than just a concept. Glad they plan to keep the old classical BSSB HQ building at 8th and Commerce.

Hyatt will be 23 stories. So I would guess between 250 and 280. Depends on how tall the first four floors are.

Definitely denser massing than what I had imagined---which is good in some ways.  A bit disappointed that all of the taller structures seem to be in the 24-28 story range.  Was hoping for at least one that would reach 40-50. Anxious to see more definition around what each building will host as far as residential, office, retail, entertainment, etc. 

Also, it appears from the renderings that the Frost Building and perhaps the Sullivan Tower are, indeed, being kept (yay!).  Looking forward to how they will repurpose them. Will be interesting to see if Southwest Ventures makes a move to buy the Southern Baptist HQ that borders on the SE corner of the campus. If not, then I would think some ambitious developer will be going after than parcel to tag-in with this terrific new element on the west side of downtown.

This is great. Wish the buildings were a bit taller, but it seems we'll be stuck with a Vancouver skyline for awhile. Glad this is happening.

The office tower on the north side of Church appers to be around 40 stories and there is either another residential building or hotel north of it.

I hate any building with any sort of nice element being demolished. I don't see how they cannot incorporate these buildings into their development. 

If I were to live/work/play in a particular section of town, I want to have vintage buildings incorporated with the new.

Definitely agree with the Vancouver comparison. The only difference being Nashville having better looking buildings, yes I said it lol.
