Right now, there have been no construction permits issued. There are only grading permits issued which covers a host of work. There are permits applied for on some of the projects. The only permits posted on site are 4 grading permits though.

Interesting. Is this atypical for a skyscraper development to not have a construction permit issued after so long into a development? Or is it due to timing and ensuring construction crews are available and allocated, since Nashville has a TON of skyscrapers going up at the same time now. Not sure that has anything to do with it, but curious why permits have not been issued to allow the steel to rise up.

It's a little of everything you mention. It takes time to do the required drawings and for a project this size, there will be lots of drawings. You also have to the the developer to draw a line on more plan changes and that can relate to - do they have a main tenant and has that tenant signed off on the basics of the building (that often takes time too) . And if the developer wants significant revisions, then you have to potentially get metro involved in granting permissions (heights, roads, materials) and that's mostly a once a month thing.  Usually once drawings are maybe 75% complete you start seriously pricing the job, currently those numbers generally mean going back and cutting out stuff and that causes more drawing revisions and new pricing and this process can repeat itself several times.

OK, makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Excited to watch the steel rise soon for all of these! :)

Lots of new images on the NBJ. Not to mention a planned 48 and 46 story tower on the AEG site.

This is new and unexpected, right?  The changes to NY recently have been on the 'bigger and taller' side and it seems like this falls into that category.  How do these two towers compare to Amazon 3 and Pinnacle?

So let’s grab hold of this, not only does it appear that A3 will be 43 stories….. BUT there’s a possibility there’s a 48 and 46 story towers fronting 9th ! Everyone pause for a moment, picture in your mind , all of this ..PLUS Tony G’s Prime and Alcove , the Y project with a 750’ tower  and Gibson , Edition and the rest of Highwoods project… DAMN!!! What a area this will become!

Incredible.  All of that, if/when it exists, will put Music City in a completely new category!  @Brichar4 you called it a ways back when you said the trend in town was heading upward.  I'm giddy just imagining it all.
