I can’t answer for tokiorose…but I do know there has been talk about Amazon hiring more than the original 5k.  Also…there’s still a chance the building across from Amazon 1 (across Church St) could be over 600’…so it’s not out of the question that it could be a new tallest.  I think a lot depends on if that number really does go well beyond 5k.

Thanks for the insight, that would be sweet! 
I still don’t understand why they haven’t continued building tower two. Amazon recently said they want to return to in office operations, this would have been a good time to get that building done. Construction really hasn’t stopped due to Covid elsewhere, just don’t make sense especially for the company that probably profited the most this last year.

Is it at all possible that the delay in restarting tower two, could be because they are redesigning for a larger building? With the rumors floating around , that Amazon might be thinking of a larger operation in Nashville, maybe even if the tower across Church St becomes a 50-60 story building it might not be enough.

I was told that there was some exciting stuff happening as far as tenants about to sign but it wasn’t a done deal so don’t know the details. Things are brewing though

These types of posts make me giddy.  Speaking as 1001 Church n my Few Good Men voice, "you want me at 600'.  You need me at 600'!  

Who knows, maybe with the Oracle news, there's even more incentive for A) Amazon to up it's presence, B) up it's office space capacity, and C) for Tony G and a few of this friends to think BIGGER with respect to projects in the development hopper.

My rumor says the lease issue was resolved and construction on Amazon II should resume shortly.  Re-activated construction cam would seem to confirm that.

Hopefully they pull permits soon so we can get a final height on Amazon II. They also need to get a move on AEG soon. I’d love to see full scale work resume on both sites by the end of April/beginning of May.

I’m just ready for AEG to start because they’ll probably reactivate the live cam from on top of JWM that will not only cover AEG, but also Tony G’s projects.

WOW! If you sit back and daydream a little, and visualize the projects that hopefully will soon be coming, like AEG, the rest of Nashville Yards, Gibson tower, the two Tony G buildings possible third Tony G building and maybe a few towers on the Highlands site. This area is going to be rocking!

Yea, I was talking to William about that a few weeks ago and Church street is going to be the hub of activity over the next couple of years for sure and will look amazing with all of the construction and cranes.

This screenshot from Oxblue is the vantage point I can't wait to see once NY and the TG projects are complete.  Hoping the top of 1001 Church won't even be visible!

That photo of the construction site shows how central this area is. That AEG hotel and music venue are really going to add some excitement right in the core of town.
