Passing through staying the night here and got a few photos.  I would like to know the Driest month in Nashville as most times I have come over the years it is raining.  But like the trooper tourist I am I carried on.  Saw a tourist completely soaking on Broadway from a stopped up drain and a car whizzing by on Broadway.  That is no way to treat tourists like me LOL.

anyway some photos and I am guessing that is the Pinnacle tower rising next to Amazon or is that their 2nd building?   Today from rain soaked Nashville.   The Hyatt, the Asurion buildings, the Amazon tower and underway the Pinnacle tower with the steel framing?

Sorry for the weather.  I think this is typically the driest time of the year, but the storms from the gulf and Atlantic have had their way with Tennessee this year. I remember my sophomore year at Vandy was rainy every day till school ended. Awful flooding in TN this year. Some years are just like that. The flip side is we rarely have water shortages like occur in other surrounding states (Looking at you, Georgia).  Interestingly, there's a significant difference in rainfall between even Chattanooga (less) and Nashville (more) in any year. 

That is Amazon 2. The Pinnacle has not yet broken ground. Those parcels along 10th between Church and the Grand Hyatt have been cleared with no more parking allowed and will very likely all be under construction at the same time. Others here can shed more light on the timetable

KJHBurg, when you come back this time next year, there will be a whole new bunch of buildings under construction and more will have broken ground and by my count we may have about 20 to 30 between 200 and 600 feet between the Gulch & SoBro that we know about. The timeline on others is iffy right now. That’s not counting a couple or three in Midtown.

None of their Seattle buildings have prominent signage that I noticed.

Lots and lots of digging around all of the future three tower sites it seems. Not sure what for exactly but always love to see movement on these exciting projects! Sorry for the poor photo quality had to zoom 

Also wit the crane jump on Amazon 2 it may be close to a comparable height for what the tower might be once completed. Rough estimation of course, but great to see.

That looks pretty MAJOR to my untrained eyes. I recall seeing core drilling going on without excavators and usually just a few pickups around the driller (or 2).

I am wondering if the ground soil here is not very suitable for the size of the building/required foundations and as a result they have to remove the top layer and compact prior to the foundation construction. With the excavation expanding further and further into the actual building footprints, the construction crews may just be getting soil work done in preparation of moving forwards on another building.

They could put one on the lot that is behind the holiday in, and maybe fit two on the lot that fronts Rosa Parks and Commerce. 1 along the railroad tracks makes 4, and the three in the AEG section would make 7.
