I can't tell you how great a project River  Place is for Wilmington.  Any city in NC including Charlotte would be honored to have a project such as this.  And they  have sold most of the condos there too according to their website.

That's great news that the project has been so popular. Since it's close to selling all available units, you'd figure that'd encourage more similar development?

NC doesn't have many urban areas that have a great water feature like Wilmington does. It's not quite the corporate mecca, but it does offer a great river location and just minutes from ocean beaches. I wonder when the first 20 story building will be announced?

This project will begin delivering condos in March with retailers targeting an open by Memorial Day.  Retail is 905 leased and Condos are 90% sold out....  apartments will begin leasing in January for late Spring move in. Riverplace is going to completely change the entire 3 block radius downtown.

City is funded and breaking ground on the 30M park and riverfront amphitheater (will be bigger than Raleigh Or Charlotte's) next month for a Spring 2021 opening. Things are really popping in downtown Wilmington right now.

RiverPlace is even more impressive in person.  The use of so much brick blends in with the older historical high rises downtown despite the size of this project.  Truly a great project for Wilmington or any city in NC.   Today walk by photos from all angles.

Ruths Chris steakhouse to move from Ballast Hotel to RiverPlace and expand.  A good move for them and great for RiverPlace.

River Place today condos and apartments opened as well as many of the retailers including Mellow Mushroom, BofA branch and the DGX Dollar General urban format store.  This is one of the best mixed use projects in the state combining for sale condos, rental apartments, retails space and public parking (from an ugly 2 level deck it replaced)

I think that Wilmington is the second best city in N.C. after Charlotte.  In many respects, I even like it the best.  It's amazing to have a semi-tropical city on the Atlantic Ocean.

River Place looks great along Water Street.  Ruth Chris's is moving from the Hotel Ballast to the new upper patio location.  This is a mix 92 for sale condos and the rest are apartments then retail on 2 levels and large public deck for public and this projects use.
