Not to pour salt on old wounds, but the same developers for this project are working on building this Hampton Inn & Suites in Atlanta.

It makes you wonder what could have been with the Hampton Inn in Nashville...

ETA: That's a really nice looking Hampton BTW. All of the ones I've seen have been extremely cookie cutter and suburban-looking in nature.

Sorry for including the photo in the quote (especially for y'all viewing on your phones), but the profile of those windows looks terrible. I'm sure there will be a recess once the EIFS or stucco is applied, but that facade will look incredibly flat.

There needs to be.  If we ever want to activate KVB properly, we really need some of these buildings along the avenue to offer some retail and not just hotel space and the convention center.
