Well, this project IS in 2nd ward right? And the thread title DOES have "Stonewall parcels" in it right? Does the info not work here too? It seems like I'm always putting things in the wrong thread lately. My apologies.

you've basically ruined my day.  thanks a lot go_vertical.

No worries. It's kind of confusing, but there isn't a great way to delineate the topics since there is so much overlap and everything is essentially in the same area. The Whole Foods project is called Crescent Uptown, and due to its size/significance/interest it has it's own thread. This thread is for the other Stonewall parcels that haven't been sold our announced specific projects yet.

United Way open to selling uptown property. This would be another great step forward for 2nd ward

This is pretty much a win-win if they do.  That building is god awful ugly and wholly suburban in nature.  Plus the revenue the sale of the land would generate for a non-profit even with the clout of United Way would really help those in need.  There are thousands of cheaper buildings outside Uptown for United Way to continue to work from.

Let's be clear, they are doing this to keep the price down on the city-owned land that wraps it.  Now that they control Actor's Theatre, they will bid city parcel, knowing that the "crescent shaped" land that wraps behind it would be useless to any other developer."  This will be a much bigger project than 100-150 units, though I doubt taller than 10 stories.  I prefer 8-10 stories as opposed to high rise.  I suspect they keep/expand retail component.

Actor's Theatre will find a new home it seems, which is right for a theatre.  This was the home of Reliable Music for 20+ years, far longer than the theatre has been there.

exactly what atlrvr said would happen, happened yesterday. PD bid $4.1 million, 10 days for upsets.

They have been pressure washing the outside of 300 Brevard. Not sure why since the papers report that the building is getting a new facade.  They almost removed all trace of the AT&T logo left on the building after the sign was removed. Other than that the parts they have washed look no cleaner than the parts they have not washed yet.
