Dang, IAmFloridaborn, that photo expose you did on CSP (my name for it) was like not only capturing the dreaded Komodo Dragon, but then dissecting it, dismembering it, then cloning it, then unleashing a hybrid of it onto Japan to wreak havoc.  Your photo spreads make mine look like some second grader's at show and tell.

I have a question.

So they are now on floor 10 of the parking garage and the building looks to be just over 100ft.

Being that this is going to be 28 stories, how are the measurements of office | hotel| parking garage| heights set up in a mixed use project?

Is there a rule of thumb followed like all office or all residential?

Re: floor to floor height of garages - "Considering vertical circulation of floor to floor heights, these typically range from 10'0” to 12'0”. According to code, minimum required clearances are 8'2” for van accessible parking, and 7'0” for regular and other accessible spaces."

As for the hotel and office floor heights, here's a height calculator....

http://www.ctbuh.org/TallBuildings/HeightStatistics/HeightCalculator/tabid/1007/language/en-US/Default.aspx

...but I think a good general rule of thumb is for hotel and residential buildings it's 10'. For commercial office buildings it's a bit more, possibly 12'.

What's that area with all the cars parked on the unmowed grass? Is it like that because of I-4 Ultimate construction or just neglect? Doesn't seem like the kind of first impression that should be made when people get off the exit to downtown Orlando.

Maybe they can't mow it because the cars parked there are in the way.

If only cars had the ability to move...

Given that those cars probably belong to the construction workers building Church Street Plaza or whatever it's called now, that might be a tad inconvenient.

Can they build on that parcel?

Pretty sure it's a retention pond.
