I fear that this is not going to look half as good as the renderings. On the other hand, it should be a welcome foil to the Fat Conquistador.

I never cared for the renderings.   I did like the old renderings that blended nicely with the CNL buildings and City Hall  (which I like).  This is another I-4 eyesore.  Reminds me of the old Barnett building on Park Ave in Winter Park.  Cold and out of place.

That was waaay out of place.

I think this will compliment Amway nicely; maybe not CNL et al, but you have to have a variety of design in a downtown, even when buildings are just across the street from one another.  I do think that the repainting of 55W blue/grey was primarily because of this building’s look.

All the more reason not to bulldoze the ballroom and whatever else they have planned for Church Street.

I like that this replaces a parking lot and adds to the pedestrian experience. I’ve never been sold on this design.

Boom! Another thing that you and I agreed on!

Anytime they convert a parking lot, it’s a huge win.

It won't look stubby. The width is aligned parallel to I-4 and the SunRail, with narrower sections at approaching vantage points. It will have a somewhat reflective glazing skin that will accentuate the surroundings and light breaking up the facade. It will be a very good addition to the skyline, especially as it is in a primary viewing position from I-4, SunRail, 408, and South Street/Church Street and will help to alleviate the view of other adjacent buildings.

Agree with above that this will be a fantastic addition.
