Thanks for digging up the plans for Sylvia Ln codypet. Yes, I was talking about the rather wet "dry" pond behind the OUC building. I assume they will drain the pond and elevate it instead of building g a bridge. Regardless, I like the idea as it adds another sidewalk connecting the Novel area to downtown.

It’s interesting how downtown seems to be entering a “blue period”. Was there a meeting where this was decided?

Not that I’m complaining- blue’s my favorite color. I almost applied to Michigan because I really liked their football uniforms...

I like blue glass too, but too much of a good thing becomes not a good thing.

I'd like to see a few more non-glass exterior buildings myself.

You're right.

I had to go out and do something, so I had to quit.

I'd like to have done the bottom floors visible underneath the roadway too.

Maybe I'll work on it some more later.

My aim with these doctored up pics is just to give a general idea of what it might look like when finished. Not trying for rendering quality as that is beyond my scope anyway, especially using only what's there so far.

I know some have expressed their disdain towards the SunTrust Center, but I have always liked it. It saddens me to know that I won't be greeted by it when entering downtown on 4 eastbound anymore. Also, the view of the SunTrust is blocked by Modera from Lake Eola. Sad day.

I like everything about it but the roofline.

But you should still be able to see it up to a point.

I just think teal is a color that should be forever banned from skyscrapers along with other ‘80’s atrocities like big hair.

It's not like I want to see teal everywhere, but the SunTrust building adds a bit of personality and character to an otherwise boring skyline. Tastefully 80's IMO!
