As far as “sinking” goes, I’ve heard it was 1 1/4 INCHES, nowhere near a foot. They were actually expecting 1 3/4 inches of settling.

Yeah, my old high school was, "built on a swamp and they're closing it next year because it's sinking."  So said the 14-year olds every year.  This will probably turn into just one of many urban legends about the castle.

That's a lot more floorplans than they had originally showed. Some of those floor plans are very interesting.

I drove by this morning and I swear they were painting part of it white. It was a very small area, but it was definitely whiter than the concrete.

I find it best just to note these things in silence.  Someone somewhere at Land and Co is currently saying "hold my beer" as you posted this.  If there's an Mlive story about rent a cop security guards having to wear "shining armor" as their required uniforms you might get blamed .

The interior shots of the apartment were so dark and already dated. Also, their claim that the rent is half of what is downtown seems a bit exaggerated.

I do like tall doors, they have them in Riverhouse which is really nice. At 5'9" it's not lost on me.

With the 8 foot doors maybe the Grand Rapids Drive should provide their players lodging in this lovely castle. Jon Horford and Nnanna Egwu will not have to duck their heads when heading into the bathroom.

I'm not sure if they do or not. I just know quite a few of the players live there. The drop off in salary from NBA to NBA-G League has to be insane.
