Snapped this photo from the gas station close by. It’ll be interesting to see what eventually gets developed on the triangular piece of property. Maybe a 40 story building? Haha.

Perhaps it just needs to be viewed with a safe Grand Rapids mindset and they can be convinced to build three 12 story buildings but just stack them one atop the other?

This is kind of an odd property (from what I recall).  That little section of Finney from Market to Williams is actual a state road apparently?  I'm not sure about the property itself, but it would be great for development.   Yeah it's akward and has different elevations, but someone could definitely do something with it...

It’s a pop up park, which I assume means “not permanent”. What I imagine is that they’ll use it to see if it is an amenity people (and dogs use). If yes, build it into future plans. I thought it was interesting that Maplegrove owns the property. I think what you’ll see is that they’ll use it as a dog park for a few years, and if 234 market fills up and there is demand, they have another development site ready to go. Win win in my books.

If you're renting or thinking of renting at 234 Market, there's not a lot of outdoor greenspace in that area. This definitely becomes a selling point for Maplegrove.

Here's a little graphic of it:

Now time to search for a dog-friendly bar patio nearby....

If all of the people that use the Garfield Nature Center as an off-leash "dog park" went there instead, it would see plenty of use. My kids are afraid to go into the nature center because of all of the loose dogs.
