We'll, poop!  I was hoping that if Hardees parent corp decided to relocate here from St. Louis that they would choose to help fill an office tower downtown.  They appear to have chosen the Cool Springs area:

Yeah...I hate competing against CS for headquarters.  Can you imagine what we may have downtown if all of the CS offices were downtown?

Special census for Lebanon shows nearly 33,000 residents. http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/wilson/lebanon/2016/03/04/lebanon-population-surpasses-32000-special-census/81340588/

Right off the top, I count 10 cities with populations over 30,000 in the suburban counties of the Nashville MSA:

M'Boro (121K)

Franklin (71K)

H'ville (55K)

Smyrna (45K)

B'wood (41K)

Columbia (36K)

La Vergne (34K)

Gallatin (34K)

Spring Hill (34K)

Lebanon (33K)

Mt. Juliet (28K)

Figures are from 2014, except for Mt. Juliet (2015).

Every city including the cities on both coast have and need the upscale suburban locations. We don't care for it but, if a city doesn't have this as a option corporations will go to Atlanta or Charlotte N.C.

This is absolutely true.

While the majority of the people on this site are focused on urban development,  we shouldn't thumb our noses at getting another corporate relo because it's in the burbs. Besides, Hardee's is known for clogging arteries. Do we really need that downtown?

If they were to build a 750-1,000 foot Corporate HQ ? Hell, yes !

Burgers have never been fans of the tall and skinny.;)

Have you not seen Hardee's commercials? They love tall, skinny, and attractive :D

Anyone know what is being built at the corner of Franklin Rd and Moores Lane? Big lot on a high traffic area.

This was announce last fall.  Just more info including it would take property that is part of the TN Children's Home.

Spring Hill is planning a new town square.  From WKRN:  http://wkrn.com/2016/03/09/250m-town-square-in-spring-hill-calls-for-moving-historic-orphanage/

  Spring Hill Center

The children's home Federalist-style "mansion" ought to sit right in the middle of that square as a de facto "courthouse" instead of just an obelisk with a park.

If that's the case it won't be for lack of demand.  Willco is expected to have a half million residents by 2040.  Franklin should have over 100,000 by 2025.

If it is Ovation you are talking about, there is no work going on there. I think this may be the WES of Franklin.

Every time I drive by Ovation they're moving ground. The Southern Land project referenced above is a dead project. It's across from Whole Foods.

Do we ever see a time that Cool Springs gets a true high rise tower? At what point do they run out of land? Or at what point do developers get sick of building 4 mid rise towers and just build one 25 story tower

I think the city height limit is 11-12 stories (or something like that.)

Frrance-based Schneider Electric consolidation looks to take 175,000 sq. ft. in space at Franklin Two tower in Cool Springs area in early 2017. Sure wish they could've landed in CDB---but not enough office space available right now.

Hopkinsville Towne Center is now under construction. The shopping center is located at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Lovers Lane. Tenants include T.J. Maxx, Ross, Maurices, and Hobby Lobby to name a few. Also, a new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market has also been proposed for the area.
