12 floors... sweet!  That would put these midrises as the 2nd tallest in the city,  after the 15 story City Center built in 1989.

The current 2nd tallest is the Embassy Suites at 10 floors.

The tallest MTSU buildings are 7 floors (several of them).

Good. The current building is dreadful. Hopefully they build something keeping within the character of the square and downtown.

Graystone Quarry Amphitheater's construction is underway, but won't be complete for a summer concert schedule this year.

A mix of dynamics, both unique to owner Rick McEachern's site and also felt at many construction sites these days are the reasons. “We’ve made terrific progress, but it’s taking longer than planned,” McEachern said. “It’s just the state of the construction industry in Nashville, the weather and the fact that we’re building on solid rock. Everyone in the whole region is building like crazy, and it’s a race to get the talent to build all those projects. … We will be ready to host a full season next year.” He complimented the work of Franklin-based MTLC Building Group, which built the wedding and events venues at the property and is now overseeing amphitheater construction.

McEachern said Graystone Quarry will host a few small-scale shows this summer, “as a way for folks to familiarize themselves” with the site.
