Sumner County: 

1) Glenbrook Village will be a 23 acre mixed-use project including 6 story structures in Hendersonville next door to the existing Glenbrook Shopping Center. Will feature 73,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, and 97 residential units, Being developed by Vastland Communities. 

2)  McCain's Station will be a 131 acre mixed-use development at Big Station Camp and Vietnam Vets Blvd. with 112 single family homes, 195 townhomes, and 377 apartments. Will also feature a hotel, retail, office space, nursing home, and green spaces.

Williamson County's Judicial, Jail, and Juvenile Project ("Triple J") has begun its first phase. The $281 million development includes:

- The county's current recycling center located off of Century Court will be transformed into the sheriff's special operations unit via adaptive reuse.

- The current adult jail on Beasley Drive will be replaced and expanded in its current location, all while in use, with the addition of space for those dealing with mental health challenges.

- A county warehouse on Beasley Drive will be demolished and replaced to include a Juvenile Justice Center encompassing juvenile courts, juvenile services, juvenile detention and respite center, and a Williamson County Schools alternative learning center.

- A second county warehouse on Beasley Drive will be converted into an administrative office space via adaptive reuse.

- The sheriffs' gun range sitting north of the adult jail will be expanded.

- Court buildings in downtown Franklin will be renovated and expanded.

Wilson County: Some new projects coming in Mt. Juliet area:

- Velocity Motorsports wants to build a 50,000 sq. ft. car dealership on 5 acres on east side of North Mt. Juliet Rd. at NW Rutland Rd.

- MJ Elite gymnastics plns to break ground on a 20,000 sq. ft. facility on Clemmons Rd.

- Harmony Outreach in planning a 2 story, 3,455 sq. ft.  structure at 216 West Division St.

Speaking of Mt Juliet, does anyone know what's happening at the NW corner of Golden Bear Gateway/I-40?  I drove by there today for the first time in a while, and that whole area has been cleared as if something is about to get built.  It's a lot of land.

Well they're not going to try to hide the parking with all that bare asphalt.  Suburb style. Maybe at least it could have some interesting new restaurants.  Still, pretty cool for the area...

Highwoods Properties has finished the purchase of 34.4 acres of the 77.7 acre Ovation site in Cool Springs.

Highwoods said in a press release that it intends to “reimagine” the area’s master plan as a “high-density” mixed-use development, which is likely to include more than a million square feet of office space. Ovation is currently home to the U.S. headquarters of Mars Petcare, which is housed in an office building that Highwoods built on the site in 2019.

Williamson Medical Center is planning an expansion (60 new beds, expand ER capacity, add behavioral health pod,  including additional floors on the West Tower)to begin in spring of 2022 that will cost $189 million.  Should be complete by 2024.

Dickson County: The first phase of Autumnwood (29 plots out of 150 homes site on 75 acres) is being developed by Harold Crye at Beasely Drive and Cowan Rd.

Williamson County: McEwen Northside  in Cool Springs has some announcements:

1) The 6 story, 126,000 sq. ft. office/26,000 sq. ft. retail "Block A" building is underway and will be complete late next year. Omnia Partners (supply chain management) will be moving its 230 employees from the Seven Corporate Center to this new location when it opens.  They will take up 75,000 sq. ft. of the space, and plan on hiring more with the added room.

2) Superica will open a restaurant in a structure that is attached to Block A.

3) The Shake Shack will also open in a free standing structure.

Sumner County: An unnamed 2 structure, 4 story, 247 unit apartment complex by Al. Neyer LLC is slated for 8.8 acres at 259B Saundersville Rd. at Indian Lake Village in Hendersonville. It will include a fitness center, yoga studio, coffee bar, dog park and other amenities.  Work is set to begin in May of 2022, and be complete 2 years thereafter.  No renderings yet.

Nice! It is a good start as that section has needed to be 6 lanes ever since Kentucky expanded there side many years ago. Now they just need to widen I-65 down to Columbia as well
